2011 SS Tail Lights - New dumb ass Camaro owner!
I'm brand new to Camaro's and this forum.
My partner and I bought our first ever Camaro on Friday so I'm as naive as hell. Should all 4 tail lights light with the brakes? On mine only the inner 2 light and the outer ones are dim indicator lights. This seems wrong to me from what I've seen on this forum. |

All four should light up with the brakes. Just like both should light up with the turn signal on each side. The bulbs have two filaments in each one. You likely have one filament burned out. Try replacing the bulbs and see if that works.

I've found the problem. You can clearly see the Green/White has been cut and a new wire has been run to somewhere up front. This is mirrored on the left side.
The bulbs on both outer lights are 2 tone LED's. Park lights are white and indicators are amber. This was clearly done to comply with the regs in Japan, where is was first registered. Here's how the rear lights work... All 4 light on Park/dip & high beam Inner 2 light on Brake Outer 2 light amber on turn signal & hazzard. So where might this new wire run to? Steering column? Now.... How the heck do I sort this. Firstly I need a wiring diagram. Where do I get that from? |

Where is the body control module located? I think I need to get back to this to see where this new wire has be run from. |

It's under the dash. To the right of the steering column.
