Can you install a ZL1 Clutch on an SS?
I attempted to use the advanced search future but I only found feedback on ZR1 clutches and comparing of SS tranny to ZL1 but not if you could utilize it in this manner? So the question is for anyone that has good knowledge can I install a ZL1 clutch into an SS?
Thanks in advance. |

I dont believe so. I think the LSA has a 7 bolt pattern while the LS3 only has 6.

This is apparently a worthless upgrade...i think everyone is using Monster clutches...alot of disappoinments with the ZL or ZR 1 clutches

Check out Monster Clutch. Good price for a twin disc, and they're rated for good power. Not to mention they're street friendly. The other twin discs are nice, but more expensive. I'll be making the jump for my 1le this spring to a Monster clutch.

If I recall correctly, the Z06 clutch and Camaro SS clutch are one in the same. The ZR1 clutch is a decent upgrade, but we'll usually go with the Centerforce DYAD.

Mantic is another great choice also.
Its too bad that the ZL1 does not directly mate up to the SS as stated before because the ZL1 clutch is a nice twin disk that can handle lots of power and drives great! NICK |

I didn't know that. I went thru my clutch and local speed shop suggested LS7- so that is what I got. Hasn't slipped yet
