it will be the dirt in the paint or runs that will make you cry..... hopefully they can lay it perfect otherwise you will be hating life. I dont think many people are able to paint as perfect as factory paint unfortunately. typically a vehicle is forever flawed once it has been repainted unfortunately.

Not entirely true -- I've had mine painted 3 times -- and only once have I had a complaint b/c there is a drip on the very bottom of my front bumper -- unless you are leaning half upside down you can't see it -- I know it's there but not worth it to make them fix it after it took them 2 weeks (for an esitmate of 3 days) to fix her.....

the way it is, it's parallel to the ground so...it kinda fits into the little grove there and isn't as noticeable as you'd think....it beats having a huge scratch in the car though....

old days...spot-fix takes care of scratches. Water-based paint....apparently makes it difficult to spot-paint-match, gotta do the whole panel.

Look at it from a positive side... they are not wasting time trying to blend a little spot. From the looks of that, their intention is to fix it properly the first time. I would actually feel better seeing that on my car than a tape line down the back of the door and below the b pillar. It'll look great when they are done if they have a good spray booth guy, and if they are taking that much care, then they probably do...

The scratch was just in the area where the primer above the rear tire is, but they said they needed to do all of that i suppose for blending and matching purposes! Anyways i trust they will do an excellent job. they just did the front fender on my truck a week prior and they did an awesome job on it..no runs and no dirt that i notice in the paint
