Humidity and ET
Finally got to run my car first time this season. Was 85 at the track and a 2hr ride so I wasn't expecting to run any PBs. One thing I noticed though, my best passes were 11.90s at 116 and at the hottest point of the day, I was waiting for the temp to come down, but as it got later in the day track temp was down to mid 70s and the sun was coming down and covered. I was hoping for a faster run but only ran even slower. Pulled a good 60ft for my car 1.75 but ran 12.0 at 115 then next pas was 12.0 114! Hears the difference, as temp dropped the humidity went from 50 to 80-90% by the time we left. You could tell how sticky and wet it felt out.
Same thing happen with my friends gto. His 2 fastest runs were at the same time as mine in the heat. And his car fell off 2 tenths at this time a well. Humidity is deffinetly a killer even if temps drop.

Hey Mike I ran up at GLD today, was 2400 DA.
My best run today 12.14@111 1.66. I have the gears in but the tune needs an adjustment or two. Had my 18's front and back. I went 113 MPH last month and I know what needs to be changed again in my tune to regain MPH, but I was not able to change it as my laptop is being repaired. I went 12.14, 12.15, 12.19 and some other passes. Started running around noon. I met a guy at the track who has Vert/ Cam/ 2800/ fuel exhaust/ 555DR/ 235-17 Race Stars and he ran 12.3 best and best mph of 115.5.

Humidity is worse than temps.

Now Ryan (Rhino79) has been doing the tunes, and sometimes I make small changes on my end based on logs and info. I used HP Tuners.
My IT guy had to fix my laptop and he pulled some programs off to re-install later, HPT was one of them.

Ah, I can get the HPT software -- of course, Ryan does mine too.
I do software architecture so that's kinda up my alley -- so to speak ;o)... I update my latops all the time so I have one with SSD and 8 GB just waiting for something to do ;o) Like to learn more about this stuff -- sounds like a challenge! -Don |

Yeah Mike humidity was around 50% during most of my runs.
Did you run at NLR, how was it? GLD was not busy, I got a bunch of runs in.

Damn man!!! I was gonna go there, but I called and they said they were having an event and might only T&T for a few hrs! That the only reason I went to NLR, track was crazy busy and it Was 85 out but soon as the sun went away it got nasty out. Car felt real soggy on the top end yesterday.

Hey Mike are you getting any ABS lights from your current tire combo? I know Steve with the convertible does, he has 235's up front and 305/45/18 in back.

I would have to look later, but even my 18th speed was down to 92.5 or so from 93+ but last time I was running in much better weather. Really looking forward to good weather, I got the bug back after this lol!
