It looks more like an airraid than anything, however it may be that cai helped develope a new intake design. I personally like it better then any aftermarket design as far as cosmetics is concerned. I hate the cai looks with the little window (looks like an aquarium).

You do realize the glass enclosure doesn't have to be put on. It's just a top. Leave it off and you have something identical to the majority of other intakes. You could also wrap, paint, or do whatever to cover the glass.

Just saying I wouldn't let the "fish bowl" look sway you away from cai to another. Chewing thatcher glass is beyond simple

CAI = Cold Air Intake, a universal term. I'm sure GM designed it.
