I hope they still offer the manual. It would be a decent selling point, especially when so few makers offer manuals.

The $600 million for the KC Fairfax plant was for a new $450 million paint shop and also new presses. Increased capacity a little but no new lines.

Depending on price (I am only a Firefighter) I'm all over this thing to replace the Camaro in 5-6 years.

It just sounds like what I want. V8, bad ass paddle shifted transmission, mid engine Chevy...

Is it true that they are going to keep building the front engine model for the first few years of the mid engine cycle?

Don't expect any mid engine vette to be anywhere below 100k

It has hub caps on the front, I've never seen them go that far with camo.....

Ferrari 458 roof line, a bit higher in the tail... there may be a REALLY nice looking car under there!

If they do not offer the corvette in manual I will never buy another Chevy and get my tattoo removed.

For me it is the correct and reasonable response. I'm still pretty butt hurt that they make automatic ZL1s. If they didn't I would have been far more compelled to hold off on my SS purchase for the ZL1.

I hate it as much as the next guy, and I will always love to row my own gears like I do in my 1LE but unfortunately the Manual is on the way out. The new Automatics with paddles are getting too good.

I get it man. I really do. Like I said times are changing.

Unfortunately our options in the next 10-20 years will be very limited.

That's what scares me about a mid engine Vette. the Corvette is a dream car of mine. Owning a brand new Vette is one of my goals in life. a 100K Vette makes that not possible.

I hope GM makes the decision that offers the performance they're looking for, regardless of the transmission.

Wait a couple years and it will depreciate. For example, look on EBay for a 2011 Corvette ZR1, a former 100K car, 638hp, that can be picked up with less than 5K miles for less than 60K.

Yeah you have to wait.. but if you do, you can find some real nice rides that don't break the bank.
