Taking the "easy" route

what will a CAI, headers, cat-back and corsas gain you? (LS3 - SS - manual)

What's the HP vs. Cost ratio?

I dont want forced induction, spray, or modified internals. Yet.

Thanks. (sorry if repost, I havent been browsing this section for awhile).

Cheers.

HP/$ is not going to be grate so i wouldnt look at it like that.

if you got all of those things AND a good tune you could be over at 500hp with a little effort.

yeah I agree you'd get somewhere near 50hp... But you'd really need a tune to optimize those parts... that would truly help your hp/$ ratio...
If you did all that and a tune I'd expect closer to 75hp... So 500hp isn't all that far off

Newer cars have a computer that manages your engine settings. The stock setup (tune) is pretty mild. So, aftermarket tuners can retune you ECM for better performance or to allow you engine to make better use of any aftermarket mods you may have.

oh god...this place went from a forum, to a crack addiction to a religion?? impressive influence for a car lol

i miss tuning older cars - all u need in a screw driver and maybe a wrench to tweak the carb

now it costs me @ least $400 just to get the A/F ratio changed on my car...
