As for tires, after a track day with the Michelin Pilot Super Sports I'm sold on those. The steering precision, turn-in, feel and grip were superb. They're expensive but you get what you pay for. The 275/40ZR19 (105Y)'s I bought have been tested at speeds in excess of 186 mph and they have an XL load rating so I'm quite sure they'll handle the Autobahn. They have a tread wear rating of 300 so they should last awhile.

I am fitting my new wheels tomorrow with a Pilot Super Sport. Wasn't even looking at these because of the 300 tread ware rating initially but the more I read the more I am liking them. Will be strictly a track day setup and the trip to/from San Diego. So how are you liking them thus far?
