Lowering options for 2012 2SS

Im looking at lowering my 2012 2SS about an inch. I hear that it has different suspension then the 10 & 11s. Is there any aftermarket kits available for the '12s yet?

As far as I know all 2010-2011 springs are compatible with the 2012 models. The main changes were swaybars, end links, and a few bushing upgrades but the springs have the same GM part number since 2010.

Easiest way to lower your car an inch is to date a fat chic.

...but seriously, all the '10-'11 springs should work. I've seen/read nothing about an overhaul for '12.

Our lowering springs will fit the 2012's as well.

Don't jump the gun. I'd leave it awhile for all the vendors to catch up, then pick and choose your candy.

For me, nothing beats my Pfadt coilovers! You can customize your ride height and firmness any way you want. If you feel like ripping up some tarmac, then set them stiff. For a nice daily cruise, set them soft. Don't forget to upgrade your sway bars (at least endlinks & center links) while you're at it.

Pedders FTW. Great handling and great ride. If you upgrade to their coilovers, it will completely change the way car feels, and gives you full adjustability over the settings. The car now BEGS for corners, and it always feels planted.

By far, the single best change I've made to my car.

FWI: We have lowered more than a few 2012s with excellent results.

Our suspension components work for 2012 V8! My favorite parts for the Camaro are definitely the coilovers, but the drop springs work for the 2012 as well.

Az2ss – Do you have a 2012 already?

We have not confirmed that the 2011 parts will fit the 2012 yet, but we will be looking for one as soon as possible. If you get one and live in our area give us a call at 888-735-6425. We’d love to work something out as a test-fit vehicle.
