why would you be talking price if it was not you who damaged YOUR new vehicle?

-would not accept a repainted option!
-would go for ...new bumper, and price reduction for non original product ...reorder,and price reduction for making me wait again |

Force them to fix it and demand a price cut on the car. I would not give up my R6P order (if you have one) for nothing. If it's not R6P I still wouldn't care, Just get them to fix it. I don't think it's that big of a deal to get a new bumper.

Have them get a new bumper skin and repaint. You will not know it. At least no one else ever will. This is not a damaged vehicle at that point. Don't know why anyone thinks it needs to be reported. There was minor cosmetic damage during shipment. It happens all the time. A reasonable dealer will fix. If he doesn't and you feel the need to keep that car, then you will need to replace it yourself, or take them to court. Way to much hassle at that point!
Have them replace the scratched part and forget about it. My dealer received three cars when mine arrived. Two of the three had damage, door paint chip on mine and a puntured rear bumper skin on the second. Both happened in transit. They fixed mine at no cost and it is completely like new. |

I understand... He was asking if he should take as is with reduction in price. My thoughts, why drive off lot with a f'ed up Camaro..looks like HE doesn't know how to drive.
And private property accindents DO NOT have to be reported.

Why wouldn't the paint match? I am sure your dealer has re-painted much more expensive cars. But if it doesn't match, there is a thing called warranty that comes with every new car.
Listen, do not sweat the small stuff. This is truly small stuff. Let them fix it and they will. The car is the dealer's car, not yours. They can fix it any way they want and if you don't like it, they'll just call the next guy who has been waiting for a Camaro to pick it up. Like someone said, had you not known about the damage, and they fixed it and you go pick it up, you will never know anything happened. Enjoy it, it is still a brand new car. |

If I were you I would let them fix the car and drive home happy. If you are expecting a discount for the car then why would you expect it to be corrected also? Either fix it and purchase, or negotiate a discount and fix it yourself. You don't get it both ways, Sorry.
