Gearbox/Driveline noise???
After car has been sitting awhile, overnight, at work, when i first throttle up through the gears (manual) i hear a static or water/fuel noise somewhere under the console or gearbox, maybe even floor board.
Not sure if this is normal or not? Not coming from speakers as they are turned off and all wires in the console are unplugged. Even my wife could hear it. Anyone else getting this??? |

one of 2 things or both.
#09-01-37-001: Gurgle Type Noise Coming from Instrument Panel (IP)/Heater Core Area (Perform Repair as Outlined) - (Jun 24, 2009) this also sounds like rice krispies in milk. Noise coming from behind passenger side dash. or #09-01-38-003A: Moisture from Center HVAC Vent When A/C is On, Front and Back Floor Carpet Wet (Realign A/C Drain Tube) - (Aug 5, 2009) This could be your problem. If the rubber drain tube (located above the tranny area) is pinched, condensation from the A/C can't drain and eventually, moisture spit from the air vents, wet driver side floor mats, and water slosh noise. You can easily do the test. next time you pull into the garage, leave the engine and A/C running and look under the car, you should see water droplets on the floor. If not, rubber drain tube is pinched. Take it to the dealer for easy fix. |

Ha that's also a perfect description, rice krispy noise haha. You have any further information on what about the heater core is causing that? Is something actually broken or damaging occurring or is it as simple as a rattling part? How did you pull that info?
