Decisions Decisions...

Realized I can save almost $200 by ordering the MRT V2 and CAI intake/scoop/washer bottle relocation all at once, but the total still comes to almost a grand. That's a grand I could otherwise drop on my loan principle. Although, these are mods I was planning on doing anyway, so I should just order them all at once and save some coin right? What would you do?

How much interest will you save over the term of the load if you pay down $1K in principal now?

I thought of this just after posting. If the interest saved would be less than the mod bundle discount then math dictates I should buy the mods. But if I would save more by paying on the principle then emotion dictates that I should buy the mods anyway! I'll have to run the numbers tonight.

Flip a quarter. Guaranteed to give you the right answer. But if the quarter says pay down the loan then you better go best two out of three, five out of seven if necessary

Based on some online calculators, dropping the $1K on the principle would save me ~$300 over the term of the loan. Buying the mods all at once would save me ~$200. Is the perma-grin worth $100? I think so.

I'm thinking next paycheck = mod time!

Coming from someone experienced in making foolish financial decisions, my advice would have been pay down the loan and wait for another time to buy mods. However, the advice is too late I see. Enjoy the mods and try not to think about your mounting debts.
