Why would we want GM to know who is taking care of us??? I sure wouldn't rat out my service advisor and dealer on a public forum.

Not a good idea to name names on a public forum. Best to keep it among the local guys.

Rat out a dealer that helps with issues on a site that Gm monitors, nope.

Before the lock.
I agree, these should not be posted for obvious reasons. However, the dealerships you seek are the ones that sell a lot of Camaro's and Corvette's. You're looking for dealerships that sponsor enthusiast clubs or local race drivers. These dealerships will be familiar with not only our cars, but they will tend to be more in tune with aftermarket parts, and will know what they can and cannot get warranty approval on and how to do it. When you find them, ask questions about what you thinking about. Questions like, if I do x, how will that effect my warranty? Ask the service manager, they are the ones that techs will go to before making calls outside of the dealership. Dealerships are not GM. They are independent contractors, more or less, and the service dept is a huge revenue center. They want your business, and many of these will also have techs that want to help you out. Point is, they will tend to be on your side. |
