Swapping tires today! i was going to wait until my 295/40 18 tires are trash, but then I thought, what if my 335 don't fit at all! i would be SOL. So I'm gonna swap now and keep my old 295s around just in case I have to swap back.

The offsets on my 18x11s have the face of the wheel sit just inside the fender (I hate wheels that stick a out, almost as much as stretched tires). The only down side is that when lowered the inside of the barrel, barely rubs on the lower control arm. I have ground down the spot that the wheel rubs on. If I do go with 18x12s I will have to remove the lower control arms and notch them to clear. I might have to massage the inner fender well a bit too.
May I ask, just out of curiosity, why you want such wide tires on your car? Not that its a bad thing but it seems overkill to go up to a 335 on an 18x12? a 315 should handle much more than you're gonna throw at it and should require mods.

Ok here is the "skinny" on the tires, LOL. They fit ALMOST perfect. Mounted on the 18x11 they bulge quite a bit, but not too much that I feel i should upgrade to 18x12, so 18x12 probably won't happen, sorry guys. Just like I thought the tires sucked in over 1/2" in width after they were mounted on the 11" wheels. The narrowest wheel BFG recommends for this tire is a 11.5" wheels, so if you do this DO IT AT YOUR OWN RISK. Here is some width pics compared to my 315/30 18 Hoosier drag radials. Over all width they are only 5/8" wider than the drag radials.

The first thing I did when I bolted them to the car was check to make sure they didn't rub anywhere, they didn't! I checked the inner clearance and the closest place i could find still have about 1/2" clearance from the edge of the tire to the plastic fender liner.

Then I unbolted one side of the rear sway bar and did a FULL compression clearance test (I basically compressed the shock/spring all the way) and this resulted an inner clearance of about 1/4". I left the sway bar disconnected and went for a test drive, this way whenever I did some test swerves it would let the tires go up individually and they would go up in the wheel well farther than they would with the sway bar connected. I did some highway swerve tests, empty parking lot figure eights, slalom tests, ect. I did everything I could think of to try and get the wheels to rub. I got home took the tires off an NO RUB MARKS!!!! WOO HOO! Here is some pics of the full compression test.

I measured it and the tire sticks out exactly 1/8" past the fender. Pictures aren't great because in some pics the tires look flush with the fender, in others they look like they tucked under the fenders and in others they looked like they stuck out 1/2". I tried to only post the pictures that really represent how the tires actually look in person. I don't like tires sticking out at all and if you have read some of my threads, I modded my upper control arms in the rear to be able to get the camber where I wanted it after lowering (http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=139136). This worked great but resulted in pushing each tire out about 1/8". So Monday I will be undoing what I did in that post and modding the lower control arms in hopes of sucking in the tires 1/8" putting the tires exactly flush with the fenders.

The tires are a little shorter than I would like. Thankfully, they did grow to the size of my drag radials after mounting them, I was scared that they would be shorter than my drag radials. I can tell that I will have more problems scrapping the "vert only" under trunk bracing bolts, but I figure I can swap these out with new ones after they get worn down, LOL.

All in all I'm quite happy how these came out. Until someone makes a 315/35 18 street tire, it looks like these will be my rear tires from now on.

Here is the rest of the pics. I will post pics of my LCA mods when I do it Monday.

The ONLY reasons it works are:
1. The offset I chose for my 18x11 are dead nuts perfect.
2. The 335 tire tucks in to fit the 11" wheel making the tire over 1/2" narrower than normal. It's not recommended, but it works.
3. The tire is ONLY 26" tall. I doubt this would work with a taller 335.
