ASA Cam
So I got the so called ASA can from a friend who had it in a 2001 SS for free. He decided to get a bigger cam ! I was wondering how does this cam work with the LS3 and what is needed to install on an LS3. Gonna do the work in my garage. Reason I'm asking is because not a lot of threads on this can are found! Help anyone?

I loved this cam when it can out! It's an old cam but IMHO a decent cam for Ls3 heads.
You already know it has a sweet lope at idle right? I'd get a good PAC behive spring the Ls3 springs are good but I had valve float on my hotcam with the stock Ls3/6 springs. It's only a .525 lift but the 110 LSA is cool. Is also get a C5r timing chain, Ls2 dampner and melling OP 10296 since your going in. Are you Ls3 or L99?

Major torque curve too on this cam but it does give up in the high rpm compared to newer cams.

Get a cold air kit like CAI or rotofab or haltech.
Her you some 1 7/8's like TSP's since they pay the bills around here and assist with information around here. Or if you can afford it some kooks. Supporting mods are a must since your going in there, upgrade.
