Awesome thread. Seeing all these factory options makes me wish more Automakers gave this much choice rather than relying on the aftermarket.
I guess the only gripe would be dealer MSRP......waaaay overpriced. |

^^^Are you sure you can get aftermarket stripes, including the pinstripe around the wide stripe, installed for less than $395? Actually sounds pretty cheap to me, and I've seen someone here state they got a quote of $500 installed.
Painted of course will run even more.

Initial post has been updated to identify that additional stripe packages will be available. Stay tuned to Camaro5.com to find out what they will be!!

"Factory may apply more stripes in near future" I didn't take it as more stripes to come, I took as GM will allow some more of the current stripes to be applied at the factory (not just CG & white). Am I wrong. I just want to make sure since there's already a lot of misinformation out there (and not just on this subject) Sean W |

Good catch. As it is there are a ton of stripe options so it seems more likely to me that the factory will just install more of the existing options that were previously dealer-only. If they offer even more options overall I think my head will explode.

I think that's right. We've gotten a pretty definite word from fbodfather that there would be no longer stripes, at least for now, and it's rather late for any new type of stripe. So I also assume this means more colors installed at the factory where the installers are better trained and there's less chance of rework. But its is a rather ambiguous statement, so who knows.

Question about some of the GMPP stripes.
This is a pic from sema of the decklid stripe I was thinking of getting, and there is a part number, but its not listed in the 2009 catalog - just an error of omission or was it nixed? - Xanthos

Question for CamaroScotty (or anyone else)...
Now that we know more stripes will be available from the factory, when can we expect the new RPO codes to be available? Hopefully in time for me to add black stripes to my CGM. |

When is unknown. Wait until the next IDL I would suspect.

My dollar says the information was not available when the catalog was printed. It was definitely not nixed as it is part of the hockey stick stripe package.

Can we update this thread, looking at the latest car with stripes, it indicates that the REAR stripes do NOT go over the stock spoiler. Sucks...:(
