I don't get it?

I know the ZL1 is not a Ferrari but seeing dealerships treat a 'New' car like this makes me cringe. At -38 C I'm guessing this will need new rubber , a good polish or maybe some paint touch ups. That snow is more like ice. Lucky future owner.

There's a few ZL1's sitting outside in Dearborn along with about 60 vettes. Stingrays, Z06 and Grand Sports. Most owners would probably shit if they saw them sitting in snow and ice.. Lol

Thats what my ZL1 looks like, just took it for a nice drive tonight, the temp display hit -35*C , although I do have blizzaks, those stock tires probably have some cracks in them from sitting outside in this cold

Like you said it's not a Ferrari, Lambo, ect... it's a Chevy. Dealerships may not have enough show room floor space to cram it with the Corvette's and Camaro's it is what it is. We are talking about a $60k car not a $100+ k car.

you say 60k car like its just the run of the mill car,lol...but If you think about it 60k is just in the price range of any top of the line truck.. If it was 60k 15 -20yrs ago it would be locked up in a warm show room no matter what..
but I drove by a tuner shop once, with the letter L in the name and they had a couple new ZR1's ,ZO6's,a ZL1,and some others out side in one of the worst storms in a long time...they were all torn apart having engine work done with front clips off, hoods open part way..I almost had a cow, being it was cold nasty super hard flooding rain with hail around town and if i would of been able to take pictures i think a few customers would of been pissed..
We never know how are cars are treated when someone else has them,or before we purchased it...But its just a car...to others its like the kid they never had...

Haha...you should've seen mine after it was unloaded from the truck. It looks cruel but on the other hand if a dealer has lots of cars to handle, then indoor storage space may not necessarily be available.

I only worry when the car's under my watch.

The local Chevy dealer does indeed go out of thier way to store the high dollar cars indoors whenever they can, but no matter what, the dealer just may not have enough room at times to put them all indoors.

they want them indoors as much as you do. Not only to protect them from the weather but also theft, etc.

PLUS, They are much easier to show to potential buyers if the buyer doesn't have to go outside in bad weather to look at them.

Calm down it's fine. I have had mine outside in the recent storms here in in NY. The main issue is get it washed and check the tires for sidewall cracks. I keep my tires dressed at all times and so far that has worked as temps dipped into single digits.

It’s pics like this that remind me why I put the car in storage every winter. It was -25C this morning when I got up.

I guess it is what it is. Down here usually when I go to a dealership if they have a ZL1 or a 1LE it will be inside all polished for the whole world to see.

You have to remember to 99.9% of the dealerships with the exception of a handful it's just a car. Dealerships reserve the show room floor for cars they can sell to 98% of the clients that come into the dealership and if that means putting a $60k car out in the snow so they can put a $30k car on the show room that they will sell daily they will just so the customer does not have to go outside to deal with the harsh weather to see if they like the vehicle if so they can pull one off the lot. I will say the majority of dealerships I have been to ZL1’s, and Vette’s are outside, while the other cars that sell daily are inside.
