I feel the same way when I hear grown people say the same thing about my car. Granted it is Rally Yellow. The movie has very little to do with the reason I bought the car. Getting that from little kids is on thing, adults is another.

I think the movies are just a plus to the camaro. Honestly me, I didn't even know what the camaros looked like until last year summer when I got mine. Up until then I didn't even know what bumblebees car was in the movie, just liked the movie.

It puts a smile on my face when someone asks me if my car is going to transform. Also when parents point to the car and the kids go crazy seeing it.
I find it funny that people that have other color Camarso seem to take offense at such comments. Yes it is a Camaro, and yes if it wasn't for the Transformers movies there probably would not be as many younger people wanting one. When someone makes a comment about your Camaro connecting it with Transformers don't get all bent out of shape. Just smile and say thanks and move on. It could be worse, what if they used the Camaro in a movie and one of the plot lines was for the car to break down leaving it's owner stranded and the owner gets murdered, the car then gets resold and each owner has the same fate. What kind of comments do you think you would get then? At least in Transformers the Camaro is a guardian hero.

Yeah, that always makes my day when the little kids stop, point, and they are mouthing "Mom that's Bumblebee...." Even though my car is orange, but who cares, the association has been made..... It also reminds me of when I was a kid and would be standing waiting on the bus, me and my brother watching the cars go by and claiming the good ones... Chevelle SS, Mustang 302s, Barracudas, Roadrunners, Nova SS, and dreaming that one day we would have a car like that... To me that is the value of the movie and the car, its making future car enthusiasts... and to me that's not a bad thing...

I agree the movie and car are two seperate things but the H-Town Camaro club is having a group buy on tickets with secure parking for our cars at the theater. You just can't beat using a good movie as an excuse to get together with some fellow gear heads, show off our cars, and watch said movie at a discounted price!!
