Filling your gas tank the rest of the way will add 88 lbs. Then bigger tires, bigger brakes, eLSD, beefier half shafts and drive shafts, cooling...

Bottom line is that a ZL1 is far more than a 2SS with a Maggie

Not that it matters. I ran into a stock Zl1 and dusted it about 2 weeks ago. Which means nothing cus I'm not stock, but I did expect a closer race. I'm only 740 at the wheels. Plus, I'm A8, so I'm sure that helped. But anyhow, yea, these numbers are sick.
That's a lot more! A stock Z puts down what 585-600 I believe. I have an A8 Z as well, I don't think it'd be much faster then this ZL1! I'd really like to see them test the ZL1 with sport cup 2 tires just as a comparison.

The Tesla is a 10.5 second/125 mph car without drag radials. Sure it doesn't do the 'Ring, but it's likely none of us will either.

Keep in mind that these Tesla #s are from a 4 door sedan who's primary purpose is not that of a ZL1, Hellcat, Z06, etc. I am personally not interested in an electric hot rod but fully understand that this is clearly the architecture of mainline performance vehicles in the not so distant future. Torque is what makes a performance car fun to drive and the electrics deliver steaming piles of it in instantaneous fashion.

Great magazine track time review. Car will be a beast in the right hands in good air on a tire. I saw my first one (blue) at Bradenton TNT last week in good air (-DA). That was not the case at all.

Driver sat in the car in between runs in the staging lanes with the car Running. Happy as a lark.

Can't wait to see what the A10 runs. Should be impressive

I sure hope so... I thought that on the last ZL1.

Haha, in Houston. 740 is nothing. I went out a few week nights ago and got dusted by about everything out there. I think it was 1000 hp and up night. I came armed with a knife. I am full aero w/z07 package. But, honestly, it's enough for me. I can barely hook up anyways. Just basic LMR mods. Agressive tune w/trans tune, AFE intake, pulley, headers, exhaust, some cooling upgrades, plugs, wires. No cam yet, but I was running race gas when we dyno'd. When I know I'm out on the streets, I'm running 105 min. They want me back in to go cam and Nitrous to hit the 1000 hp mark, but nah, I'm good. No Procharger either.

Temps had alot to do with it and race gas. I dynod during peak summer, no race gas, just 93, same mods and if I recall was around 650 at the wheels. Mild tune.

Before that, same mods, had horrible knock issues, only put down 620 at the wheels. My baseline was decent. 580 stock.

Steve had my car a month to get it dialed in. It's been a fkn blast ever since.

The Zl1 is going to do work once guys start modding em and with the A10. Smh. It's over.

A car that traps 125 can run 10.70 with perfect traction.

Tesla P100D is $130k, not 65k like a Camaro. Put same dollar figure in a Camaro and probably running 8's
