Inferno Orange Metallic
Saw this color in a row of Chevrolet's with a sunny sky over head.
I was not impressed. It IS quite red. VR was 2 cars away and the IOM WAS MORE RED THAN ORANGE! I said to my son "some people are going to be pissed when they see this... It is very metallic but not very orange." The other thing was this was on a AVEO .:( Is there not one color that is UNIQUE to CAMARO? |

white
seriously, not many GM cars have a special color associated with them. corvettes do, but they're a notch above other cars in GM's eyes

I still prefer hugger orange better even though I still like inferno orange. I'm getting cyber grey however if hugger orange was offered it would be my number 1 choice for sure..

I've seen IOM on a Solstice and it was pretty orange in direct sunlight, but not anywhere as orange as hugger orange. In the shade it could be mistaken for victory red.

Brazen in the gto's was a great color. Not sure it fits camaro but it was the best recent orange imo.

See I was set on Red, until I saw the shots of the IOM with white stripes in one of the show cars (Montreal?). I think the orange looks really good. The wife told me she is not a huge fan of the orange, I said I guess you won't be driving it then will you?
I think the orange needs the stripes to break up the color. My local dealer has 2 orange coming, one with black stripes and one with white so I will get to see them both. He asked me what I was considering and I told him the red. I think he is planning on getting a red as a stock car unless someone outs down a deposit. |

i wanted IOM so i did about 8hrs of serious surfing/reading/looking and decided if it aint hugger... i aint havin it.
Rally Yellow will fill the bill on this one. color popularity is not a big concern of mine, i just gotta like it since i gotta pay for it. |

Until I see the IOM in person I'm sticking with my order. I ordered one and if it looks a little more red than orange it won't bother me. On order a 2LT RS with the IOM color and trim package with an auto and polished wheels. I want some black stripes that go over the rear spoiler but I'm not sure the cost. Some on here say it will cost $2k. I can't see paying that much for them myself so I may need to check out some after market stripes.
Edit: changed wording from over the roof (ugh) to over the rear spoiler.(yes) Last edited by a6pk2go; 01-29-2009 at 09:40 AM. |

It's funny how color opinions are so subjective among different people. I think, only from pics' that I've seen, that that color changes a lot in different lighting. I love colors like that.
Thanks for your input
