yeah i agree with you, my brother works for chevy, big auto group. i called him today to try and get any info from him, the only thing they could confirm was that they are getting zl1s, dont know how many, no options, pricing or any of the good stuff

there should be desent options on the ZL1 as far base i mean im not paying an aditional 15 grand for a supercharger and suspension kit... it should have launch control and leather... maybe not the carbon fiber hood but it should have the insert... i think when they first announced it in chicago that the red one presented is a base model... compared to others i seen and that had a non carbon hood but had the insert as well as leather... had base wheels im definilty getting the black ones idc about price on those... but other then that base is where im leaninh towards... im sure you guys will lean the same...

im hopin that is msrp including that gas guzzler tax but ill wait n see come nov 8.. Bc i got a big decision to make from that point. I could even pick up a new 2011 2ss with all the opt. for 35.4k out the door. thats actually below dealers cost but i wont be happy with it.

The sad thing is you think i have to justify my self to you. I have nothing to gain or lose on posting the information that my father has recieved. Iv talked to my dad threw out this whole process of trying to find out when I could try and order one and every thing. I was just posting information that i got from my dad who I know isnt BS from. and just saying sorry to burt your little bubble but being deployed right now i have nothing to lie about or try and disquise any thing. I wont get home till april of 2012 and wont even come close to having a chance to get my order in on time to think about getting one. Sorry buddie but you can go talk shit some where else.

I spoke to a couple of dealers....all confirmed that next week meeting is via Webinar.
They also indicated something about getting boxes of brochures or handout information or something. Thought I would pass the info on what they told me!.

If the ZL1 is supposed to compete against the Mustang GT500, wouldn't the ZL1 be priced very similary to the Mustang for marketing reasons? If it was higher that the competition, wouldn't they be somewhat concerned about losing sales to the less expensive alternative?

I would guess that the ballpark price of a ZL1 will be somewhat in the area of the price for a GT500.

According to my dealer, although nothing specific mentioned the general talk (for Canada anyway) is a fully loaded ZL1 will be on his lot in the mid-high 50's. You're right, not alot on the option menu (rv camera/sunroof/engine cover/wheel choice/floormats) pretty similar to the SS.
