This picture shows where the splitter connects to the bottom of the fascia (you can see where I had to trim some). Is this what you're looking for?

Thank you very much AG1LE. I was hoping for a shot that shows the outermost portions of the splitter/wheel-well liners. Not so much the center.

Here's a shot of the trimmed lower rubber deflector. Happy to provide a different shot, but the belly pan doesn't extend to the outermost portion of the splitter/wheel-well liner, so it should look the same as stock (except for where I trimmed the deflector).

For you guys thinking about doing this here a pic of a Z/28 bottom . The center belly pan is out but if you look there a piece that goes on the right and left hand side up by the splitter . It looks like it has a duck molded into it to help with brake looking hope the pic helps .

Under the 14 SS it's almost the same - the areas I outlined are there (including the openings for the brake ducts going into the wheel well), but the Z28 has a bit more coverage on the inside.

AG1LE so you are saying that the 2014 1LE and up , have ducts in the same place as the Z/28 dose ? ( were you outline) because the 2013 do not have anything in the outline spots .

We don't have the ducts, but we have the opening in the wheel well liner that will accomodate the Z/28 ducts (if installed).

This picture shows what I'm talking about (you can see the opening for the duct to the left). The link shows more pictures related to the Z/28 duct installation on a '14-15 SS.

I have the zl1 belly pan, splash shields, lower radiator shroud, and brake ducts for my 2ss. Will be adding the zl1 bumper too. Mine look just like those. I can take pic if anyone needs to see them..

Nice look!

ZL1 Belly Pan install on older SS

Only the 2012 and up models have the holes in the sub frame to accommodate the Belly pan. I installed it on my 2012 2SS Convertible. The extra bracing on the convertible only pushed it down a little bit. I did the full front end conversion, including the brake cooling ducts and wheel liners.

I also posted this on the above thread today:
I went to the PRI Show (Performance Racing Industry, for those that don't know) last week and they had the ultimate track SS Camaro there. I spent a significant amount of time talking to one of the design engineers involved with the 1LE and Z/28 and we discussed how to make aerodynamic improvements. One of the things we discussed was the slotted belly pan from the Z/28. His explanation of the slots was for oil drips not cooling and recommended I put the ZL1 solid belly pan on my 2013 1LE. For aerodynamic purposes, you want to smooth the bottom of the car as much as possible. I was planning on building as much of a full belly pan as I could for the bottom of the car and was told that going from the front of the car to the firewall was the biggest gain. During testing, they found beyond the firewall only a small improvement that didn't justify the cost of the tooling to produce the parts.

Interesting topic....but a little hazy to me....
The belly pan is all about creating additional front downforce. If you look at how they are installed the factory bellypan still allows airflow along the sides of the engine, and down the trans tunnel and around the exhaust and under the car with minimal disruption of the airflow from the front of the splitter to the firewall. This maintains a negative pressure under the front of the car and therefore more downforce. You also need to remember that more front downforce requires more rear downforce also, to balance the car. Excess downforce on the front will cause oversteer. Excess downforce on the rear will cause understeer. Adding downforce on both ends so the car is balanced means more grip and higher stable speeds.
My discussions with the GM Engineer at PRI basically stated that the 2014/2015 hood vent didn't create a big change over the unvented hood. He recommended that a ZL1 style hood insert is a better choice, but an unvented hood would be fine.
