Another exhaust upgrade...now done with exhaust
I already had Solo HFC, Magnaflow Tru X, and Dynomax VT mufflers on the car, but the pipe going from the X to the Dynomax was still the stock 2.25" with stock resonators on it. Friday i had to have a sensor installed for my AFR gauge and while it was on the rack i had the muffler shop replace that portion of pipe with 2.5" without resonators. I was worried the noise level would be bad, but found it to be just fine plus i picked up the benefits of the better flow. My midrange feels a little better as well. Now the whole system is 2.5"

Was there a increase in sound at all when you knocked the resonators out.
Did you install everything at once or one at a time, if you did it one at a time did the tru X make a difference with it as well |

Nice, congrats! Exhaust is probably the next thing I'll be tackling with my V6

First I did the mufflers, then I did the converters and xpipe, and now the pipe from the x to the mufflers. Since the x and converters were done together I cannot say how much one did over the other. Now that all is done I can say I don't notice anymore drone then the mufflers by themselves. There was a slight increase in sound after doing the x and converters, but not the annoyance inside the car. If I had the money to waiste I would try a couple other mufflers to see how they sound and perform to what I have.

Ok I have magnaflow mufflers with a secondary cat delete. It's quiet when just driving around town but once you hit pass 3k it's a different story. It really wakes up and sounds nice. I'm just trying to figure out to make it louder.
