Spring problems with lakewood drag shocks
In the process of installing rear drag shocks and i bought rear v6 springs like it said here http://www.lsxtv.com/features/5th-ge...tall-and-test/ but on the lakewood website it says you MAY need v6 springs??? The v6 springs are longer than the stock ss springs. The drag shocks look to be the same length as the stock shocks( probably just stock shocks revalved and spraypainted red). I have read where the v6 camaros actually sit up a little higher than the ss and have a softer spring rate(not good for drag racing). Im kind confused on what to do and dont want to have to take it all back apart again. Ill call lakewood tomorrow and see what they have to say just looking for some opinions or personal experience.

Ok after some research gm has made different length rear shocks for camaros thoughout the years, some have an inch longer shaft and require v6 springs which are longer. Im assuming they are just cores that lakewood gets and revalves and paints red. I guess the set i got happend to be the short version. Wish i would of known this before i wasted money on v6 springs thanks lakewood. Should of just bought adjustable coilovers anyway.
