Question Winter Tires on a 1LE

Need some help from the tire experts on the forum. I used 245/55R18 Pirelli Scorpion tires on 18X8 5-120 ET40 MODA MD6 rims in the winter on my 2010 2LT RS. I only have two winters on those wheels and would love to keep using them on my 1LE in the winter. Can anyone tell me if these will fit my 1LE. I thought I better figure this out now if I need to start saving money for a new winter set.

Do you have the "rollerskates" on the brake pads? If so, you could switch out the pads to ones without and try to fit them on. I would be curious if you could do this, because I want to do the same.

you ran a square setup for the winters too? is the 25 correct? seems a little low profile for winters

Thanks for the feedback. That is what I was afraid of. Looks like either winter tire and rim package or winter tires on stock rims.

You can run some 19's, some you can't. 18's definitely will not fit. I recommend getting with Rudy at Tire Rack.

Sorry, the sidewall is actually 30 mm. The ride is as good if not better than a standard SS with this profile.

I was expecting hydroplaning with this width the square setup and awful snow traction... but this was not the case at all! I didn't even get stuck even while in upstate NY with about 9 inches of snow, I stopped to help a m series Mercedes truck that flipped over! In the dry I am fairly satisfied with the performance as well.

The Conti's are noted for having mushy sidewalls, but I cannot agree after 10,000 miles. I drive the car HARD and the wear pattern on these tires is phenomenal. Going to put on the summers as soon as possible the feel the difference.

If anyone wants to talk in depth about my experiences with these tires, pm me and I will give you my phone number.

Here's a link to the tires. A set of 4 runs just over a grand.
