12 vs. 13 should I wait?
I need a little advice from people who have drove or owned a 2012 2ss and a 2013. The prices of the used 12s are pretty good right now and I was ready to jump on it until I started seeing things about the 13s being a pretty big improvement. As far as sound system my link suspension and handling etc.
I don't really want to buy new and I don't really want to wait much longer. So should I jump on a 12 or is the 13 worth waiting? |

I was in the same delimma last year ended up custom ordering a 2012 ... What I would reccomend is go online quotes from diff dealers and take the best 1 !!! As for used prolly not worth because these cars don't depreciate much year to year and lastly I got lucky with the GM 1000 $ private offer so for me it was almost the same price as a 2011 ... Good luck

Are you comparing
2012 2SS vs 2013 2SS or 2012 2SS vs 2013 2SS/1LE ?

Just 2ss to 2ss. I don't really think I'll have a need for the 1le.

The difference in price would be the deciding factor for me.

I was wondering the same thing only with a RS 2LT, and between an '11, '12, or '13. I can get an '11 for $26K with low miles, or a '12 with more goodies, or lastly a '13 with even more. Can't seem to decide on which though, and if the extra stuff is worth the 6-7K added expense. Decisions....

Well c that's what I don't know. I didn't think there were other changes unless u get the 1le. But I have read more than one post about people liking the handling and all around drive better on the 13 2ss. I get the feeling though it's just in their head.
The price may make up my mind though bc I have found some very good prices for 12s that I'm pretty we're bought looked at and r now being sold. Especially the transformer edition. They r giving those things away. |

What? The 2013's are out already? Is the price increase on the 2013s the problem?

I don't believe there is an increase on the 13s. A 2ss/RS seems to average right around 38,000. I've just nvr been big on buying new. I'm happy with new/used. I just don't know if the 13s r really worth waiting for a used one.

Get what you want, if a 12 makes you happy and the cost difference makes it worth not waiting, you're set.

No that price increase would not stop me. It's more that I can pay the first to drive it off the lot fee or wait and get one that someone else was nice enough to pay for me.

Personally, I don't like the way the touch screen (My Link?) looks. It's like they slapped it in there without much effort to make it blend in well. I would grab a 2012 for that reason. But that's just my opinion.
