Nissan Frontier or Toyota Tacoma
Hey everyone,
I need to replace my daily driver whose given me over 120k miles of faithful service but she's starting to fall apart and I've spent $2000 already trying to fix a reoccurring problem. I have decided that a midsize pick-up would help me a lot with having a house and doing things on my own and I'm basically down to the following: Nissan Frontier vs. Toyota Tacoma. They're basically the only players in the game because the new Colorado design won't be out until mid 2013 at the earliest (according to the Colorado forums out there) Has anyone here driven both (or either of them) and can give me some personal opinions?

I have family members with each. I have to say I like the Nissan more. It looks better, both inside and out. I havent really researched theyre dependability though.

I didn't think the Frontier comes in a V8, I know for a fact that the Tacoma does not but I don't need an 8. A V6 would more than suffice.

Neither. Foreign trucks are a joke. Seriously.

Feel free to quote another option...let's see
Ford Ranger? oop not sold in the US anymore Dodge Dakota? Dead. GMC Canyon/Chevy Colorado: Horribly outdated and over-priced and going to be replaced at some mystery point in the next two years.

I'm going for the Tacoma. It and it's brother, the Hilux have been proven reliable.

I've looked at them and driven them and the interior and the ride just don't do it...

Get a good used one then. Foreign trucks suck. Toyotas have proven rust issues and Nissan trucks are just plain ugly.

I have no need for a full size truck. I am not comfortable driving them.
