Today is gonna be 80 here so I'm gonna be driving with my top down and wishing it was my Camaro instead of my Solara! Lol. I love my Solara, but it can't compare to a Camaro!

I got it so bad I took the Harley out about 3 weeks ago, even though it was only 30deg F. Having the heated seats and a windshield I'll feel like I'm in heaven as compared to that ride.

I took a peek at camarotracking and of course nothing has changed. I went into the forum there and one of the last posts from trackingadmin is:

"I had a recent conversation with Nolan Harris with Chevrolet. He reported to me that the Verts were being held for their release date of March 1st and that while their they were being checked by QC but were not having delays due to any issues. You are not the lone ranger with a 4b00 vert....But expect a nationwide release very soon. Now take the statement from Nolan for what it is worth as he is on the distribution end of the chain rather than the production and or internal QC end. But this is what he was told by his Zone Rep. This would be as Perry Mason used to say, "Objection" as it is third party information....lol But it is the best we have right now. Larry"

Sounds like it is all about the calendar. Kind of a shame, really - shouldn't those of us who special ordered at least be ahead of some of these cars showing up in the showrooms already?

2011 Camaro Convertibles Begin Arriving!

The first production 2011 Camaro Convertibles have been now been spotted and reported to be hitting showroom floors! This means the very first owner deliveries should be taking place immediately and we’ll soon see Camaro5 members posting and announcing their brand spanking new droptop Camaros.
Congrats in advance to all the upcoming Camaro Convertible owners. We wish you a warm Spring to begin enjoying your new Camaros early.

I expect to be in the market soon for a 2011 1LT or 2LT and was curious about where you have bought yours from ?

i wish i was waiting on a 'vert. we just got 4 more inches of snow tonight!!!! I need to pay off my coupe befrore jumping on a 'vert....

i did hear 1 of the QC issues was leaking tops due to a supplier defect, and them replacing tops 1 by 1 by hand..... the oshawa employee who posted this complained they are heavy and he wants his robot to do the work for him...lol.... Chevy's website shows 3 verts within 50 miles of me. one at the dealer i bought my car from...i'm going to have to see if its a sold order or not...

Well the snow is here now and no vert yet ???? As long as it come in clean through QC I can wait !
I was told by the regional GM rep that the Verts showing up now were early builds meant for shows/high volume dealers to show and not part of the current build. He didn't know if they were actually selling these or not.

The VIN on the showroom pics TIFF posted was built later than mine, which was Feb 10th...

The problem I have with this is no one has come forward and said they received their vert yet ???? You would have thought someone would ? I would !

Ran the report on Chevy.com and it said that a dealer less than a mile from my office had one. Went by there this afternoon, and they didn't have the vehicle. I then swung by my dealer and he looked up all the orders they had. He expects 2 to deliver this week, and he told me that I have moved up to number 2 on the list of dealer allocated orders. He of course is hoping for next week for me, but I am not holding my breath.

On another note, my guy gave me a brochure on a custom tuner down the road that supposedly could make a few modifications (new air intake, and air cooler, plus a tuneup) that would give me much improved performance and also better fuel mileage. Has anybody been looking into that?
