GM/Pontiac, should do it!!!!
I'm sure they could easily sell 40-60k a year on the firebird, plus a good amount of Trans Am's... |

I was going to say the same thing.
The Firebird was a great looking vehicle, but in today's market GM would be foolish to put out two coupes that competed directly with one another. Not to mention having to split resources to differentiate the Firebird from the Camaro. I'd rather they just have a "great" Camaro rather than a "really good" Camaro and Firebird. The Phoenix may rise from it's ashes some day (using this idea for a Camaro commercial would be nice actually), but it shouldn't be now. |

I like the idea of bringing back the Firebird. However, to my knowledge, GM does not own the rights to the name "Trans Am", the SCCA does and when the Trans Am was in production, GM paid $5 a car sold to the SCCA. I'm not sure GM is ready to do that again. But I could be wrong!
