Do you know anything about manufacturing? How do you propose making this body side outer (as WE call it) in production. What you are proposing cannot be done in a production mode. Those are one off;s for the aftermarket industry. Think about it.

Cannot be done? How about you explain Einstein since you're the manufacturing guru? I just stated what I think would look better and I'm sure most will agree that functional would look better over non-functional. I don't care to know about manufacturing but I have a good idea of what would look better. I'll leave the manufacturing to you automotive nerds that say what can and can't be done...

Don't take it personal because you had a hand in designing and/or manufacturing this part of the car that I'm not particularly fond of. It's not your fault dude...you are a pawn in this billion dollar industry.

Nice car by the way...some good mods you got!

Thanks.

And sorry to come across taking it personal, but that is my nature.

I am glad you like the Camaro.

I suppose I should explain what I meant by manufacturable. Yes it can be done. However, for a production model, probably not without costing allot of time and money in the stamping plants.

I agree with you it does look better with functional openings. If it could have been done with-in reason it would have been done. It was on the table at the beginning for short time.

You nailed my job exactly, I work with both product and the studio everyday explaining what can and cannot be manufactured at a reasonable cost and time for the part in hand.

Its too new, Its too retro... It has too much from the old days.... It doesn't have enough from the old days.......

Good Lord, that alone indicates to me they hit the target......

The side gills are a styling throwback to the '69.... If they don't suit your fancy, do what you want to 'em....

Good lord, if GM, put everyone's suggestion for changesinto this car it would cost $90k out of the box and wouldn't sell too well. Sheesh!

Best Bang for the Buck... works for me! Style and performance for a good price!

For me looks wise the challenger is a 10/10 and the camaro is a 9/10. I say this because there are a few angles of the front end of the camaro that make it seem like it has a low sloping brow (cave man look). Most of the time the camaro is a sexy beast, but every now and then it look like a cave man to me.

That being said since I'm not rich I would buy the camaro over the challenger because it looks almost as good and is a way better value.

not going rate but im actually an big fan of the srt8 challengers. The back of them though in my opinion is um... eww. Sorry but thats what i think, if maybe the Tlights were tinted then maybe they would look better?

I would kill though for an plum crazy? srt8 with stripes like the r/t classic and polished torque thrusts or black/machined 5 spokes and of course the 6.4

They just seriously need to lower the price/weight, mostly the price though.

The Challenger SRT8 was the car I really wanted, until I test drove it. I have a 70 Challenger, and I wanted the sister car. However, the new ones look awesome on the outside, but when I drove it I didn't feel like I was in a sports car, I felt like I was in an 'old man sedan.' No disrespect intended, but it just wasn't what I was expecting.

Therefore, I waited the extra year and test drove the Camaro, and it was awesome. I love the cockpit feeling. I love the outside of the Challenger, but I figured that I need to like the inside more since I'll be driving it, not just looking at it.

Both are equal. I put all big three in the same category. Mustang GT 5.0, CamaroSS and Challenger R/T classic & STR8's are all sick. If ur a Muscle Car fan u love all muscle cars. The front of the 2011 Mustangs is very sinister & the sequential tail-lights are a home run. The front and ass of Challenger's are just amazing. I love when the tail-lights light up at night. CamaroSS last but not least has the best of both worlds. The front is bananas but the ass could use the 68 tail-lights but LED.

I like both. The Camaro is more of a now retro and the Chall is more just retro..both look nice but I go with the Camaro. What I donot like is the choped top of the Camaro..looks great from outside as all chops do but real pita from inside..esp if 6 3..really hurts vis. I do not like the Chy 300 ride of the Chall but do like the what I call a real sunroof..the top goes back into the roof and not on top...I can sit and ride in a Chall sunroof but not a Camaro.....engine goes to Camaro...

I also love both cars and the Challenger was a very close 2nd place car for me.

Camaro:
Front View - 9
Back View - 9
Side View - 10
Interior - 9
Driver view - 10 (love looking out over the hood, looks old school muscle)
Roof - 10 (love the roof line)
Overall driver feel - 9 (feels like a sport/muscle car)

Challenger:
Front View - 10
Back View - 7 (the challenger ass is just too fat)
Side View - 8 (the challenger sides are just too flat)
Interior - 7 (that dash is generic yawn)
Driver view - 8 (uninspiring view over the hood)
Roof - 8 (too rounded maybe, something doesn't look right)
Overall driver feel - 7 (feels like a Sedan/muscle car)
