Any muffler deletes nearby?

Morning all. Looking for someone in the Redmond, Bellevue, etc.... area that has had the mufflers taken off but stock catalytic converters still on. I am thinking of doing this myself to get a bit more rumble. I just don't want it to sound like open headers. It would need to be an SS not an LT or ZL so I can get as close an idea as possible. Stock motor would be great. If anyone does and has two minutes to meet where ever let me know. Thanks in advance.

That's my setup, with magnaflow catback and cold air intake. Sounds great, I've had a ZL1 follow me into a parking lot to ask what setup I had.

It definitely is not open header sound, but a big upgrade over the disappointing stock sound.

Thanks Keef. Heard Magnaflows have great sound. I need to hear one in person to decide though. Its got SLP big mouth 2 on it now but its not that rumble I'm looking for.

I, too, have the Magnaflow axle-back and cold-air intake. I have long-tube TSP headers that I had ceramic coated velvet black, along with the Magnaflow x-pipe. They have been sitting in a box in my garage for a couple years and I haven't made the time to do the install yet. XD

Love the sound just from removing the mufflers though, and those things are HUGE and heavy. You'll be glad to be rid of them.

Well you'll probably find people a bit closer. But if you're ever down around Portland soon-ish let me know.

Yep I'm in Vancouver. Just cut the factory mufflers out and welded straight pipe to the factory exhaust outlets. Only engine mod is cold air intake and oil catch can. Definitely not open header sounding!

We have the muffler delete on our 2012 vert, 6-speed. Lots of decel pop. We're in Port Orchard. Looking to do a cruise out here soon, we have a few in the group with the muffler delete on their cars.

Dude, you seriously need to upgrade those tips. They don't fill out the ports enough at all. The Magnaflow axle-back comes with 5 inch polished tips. They're perfect.

Thank for the input. I do want to get rid of them I just have to be careful as I live in an HOA and I like my neighbors so probably being a little ocd about this.

That's a clean set up you got there. I hope mine looks that good if and when I pull the trigger on this.

Port Orchard? Got family around there. May just have to hook up for a drive and a burger.
