CAMARO VS GT 500
I was crusing 20 over on the Interstate the other day when I noticed a GT 500 in my rear view mirrow.
I woundered what would happen when he caught up with me...Well it didn't take long before he was beside me...we looked each other over and at the same time gave each other a thumbs up. The mustang then pull in front of me...I flashed him twice and hit the hazards with two flashes. Made me feel like a two fighter pilots...mutual respect! |

all depends they are close but a stock SS will lose to a 2010 gt 500 but for him to show respect makes him cool in my book.

On the interstate at speeds the GT500 would walk the SS pretty hard.
Awesome to show some mutual respect though. |

had a similar run in with a Roushe car... maroon ... purdy.
I didn't realize it wasa a roushe at first. he nodded and gave me a thumbs up and I sent one back. then I tucked in behind him I saw it was a roushe...

I may poke fun about the new Camaro being a little too flashy or funny lookin', but they really are very cool, as are the new Challengers. No doubt that other modern American car drivers feel the same way about all the new muscle cars. During the late '70s and early '80s, I would have told you the muscle car era was over...
Nice to see it back again. |

Should be about 120 more horses in the Mustang. I drove my first 2010 GT500 this week. A guy at work bought a new one and asked me to drive it to let him know what I thought. WOW!!!! That thing is a beast! After it stop spinning in each gear it pulled soooooo hard. I was really very impressed. Ford did that one right.

I can't wait to see what the lighter 2011 GT500 with the SVT package can do. |

Haha, like the Tomcat guys intercepting Bear bombers over the North Sea during the Cold War and exchanging salutes? - although since in this case the Camaro would not only be the Soviets but a slow old Bear, maybe I should find a more respectful comparison.

120 lbs lighter, A coating on the cylinder walls, better suspension, bigger tires, aluminum block and heads and no gas gussler tax. They just keep getting better.

Spend $10k on a Camaro SS and its much better. Supercharger, suspension and there ya go. GT500 was 2 tenths faster in the 1/4 mile then the Camaro SS on youtube.
