possible clutch/throwout bearing issue

To those that can give a DIY'er (myself) a hand with knowing for sure how much life is likely left in my clutch, and if my throwout bearing for the slave needs to be replaced or not.

Maybe you could describe a situation or type of noise I would hear on engagement....

Here is what I have concluded so far:
currently I notice some feed back to the shifter when quickly operating the clutch pedal while stopped and in neutral along with a less common issue of a catching or a little more than the normally notchy feeling from the shifter while driving normally and shitting around 1800-2500rpm from 1st-2nd or 2nd-3rd etc.
*yes I do have the clutch pedal to floor when I feel this in the shifter.

Any technical help would be greatly appreciated!

Also my current mod list that could have anything to do with this system
- mgw shifter
- Tick master cylinder
- stainless steel braided clutch line
- ATE Super Blue dot4 fluid
- Separate clutch/ brake reservoirs

How many miles on the clutch? How spirited are those miles? What's the temp like where you are? Have you ever changed the trans fluid? How long ago was brake fluid in clutch reservoir changed? Still the stock clutch? Any performance mods? when you shift are you the kind to slam it into gear as fast as possible or do you ease it in gear? I've also seen that the hurst shifters have a problem with the bushing not sure if this would apply to you as well as far as "feedback".

Original clutch with about 46k miles on it. trans and brake/clutch fluids have all been changed in the past 10k miles or so.
I've been to the drag strip a few times and have driven on it hard at time but have never had it slip after engagement.

I don't shift it super fast as you describe. and if I accelerate under medium or heavy throttle I don't notice it as much, just during the normal everyday puttering around under light throttle.

It 'catches' the next gear in any weather, of course the trans and shifting in general is stiffer in anything below 40degree while warming up

When my throwout bearing went, it sounded like a grinding metal on metal sound along with a can of rocks being shaken up while the clutch was engaged. It would go away the moment I depressed the clutch.

Rabamaro, thank you for the explanation! Much appreciated.

Is there any way to tell for sure on the condition of your clutch?

If it was slipping how soon would one be required to change it out?
Thanks!
