Angry Dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree

Just got my car back from a hack job by a local shop and just about all my warning lights are on.

I have no headlights, horn or wipers.
Also traction, brake, stabilatrak and ABS warning lights are on. Any ideas on where I should be looking(relays, fuses etc).
Taking it back to said shop is NOT an option.

I would start with the fuses first and then go over the wiring harness.

I did that. Went over interior, under hood and trunk fuses. Changed the relay marked for HID's. I also checked the harness below the fuse box on the driver side footwell.

Any other specific harness I should be inspecting?

Thinking out loud here... Headlights, horn, wipers are steering column/dash controlled... traction, brake, stabilitrac are center console controlled, but I'm not sure if we can turn abs on/off. Is it possible there are harness connectors that are not connected? If not, I'd look for a common place where those wires are bundled to seed if they've been cut... maybe the firewall area. Also what about hooking up a code reader to see what is being spit out?

From what I can see everything is connected as it should be. I maybe be missing something though. No DTC codes are set.

Check if your high beams can come on if you put your headlights in manual on

Also if you have steering wheel controls, check to see if they work.

High beams do not work manual or auto.

Stereo controls work as do turn signals. DIC functions as it should. Displays high beams icon but no lights.

Sounds like you have a wiring signal issue. My bet is either something is cut somewhere in relation to the signal wires for the controls. Or a harness connector was connected backwards.

I was thinking the same thing. Also make sure no harness is close to a heat source like the headers or is pinched. Could be shorting out somewhere.

Or a harness may look connected but is actually like half connected.

See if you can get a schematic for the engine area harness and look for connection points and or relays that are related to your problems. As Porkrind said check all connections for proper fit.

Take your time and try not to get pissed off about the situation start at one end and do a thorough inspection. If I were near you I would be more than happy to come over and give you a hand.
