mustang gives you more power for the money but the look of the camaro is priceless. Had the choice of a 5.0 or 1lt camaro rs and picked the camaro for the look and i saved 2000 in the process

I would like to have to interior of the Mustang inside of the Camaro....

The Mustang on the outside is butt ugly.

I was really torn between the 5.0 and the Camaro when purchasing. Since I was looking between the standard GT and 1SS, I felt like adding some of the things I wanted on GT as stock such as brakes pushed its price range to high for what I was getting. Also finding the Camaro has IRS and related pretty closely to the latest GTO really pushed me towards it.

Also, the new stang has very round body styling. I like chiseled angles on the Camaro

I wouldn't give my Camaro up for anything, but if I could swap one thing from the other, it would be the bluetooth system from the Camaro for the Sync of the Mustang. Our bluetooth SUCKS (or mine does). Constant disconnects, can't change the song, etc.

Sorry, but with the Chinese MT82 Tranny in the GT (I just lost my 2nd at 5000 miles) is junk and failing left and right. That ALONE make the Camaro the better value.

I'm polar opposite. I hate the mustang interior. While the Camaros is a little plain Jane, it doesn't look like such a train wreck.

the Sync and Nav system stomp ALL the standard and available options on the SS combined. But like appearance, it is all subjective. You go with what floats your boat.

I looked at the Camaro in 2009 and it was ultimately the exterior that I couldn't live with. I had owned Camaro/Firebird's before and the interior was the same sunk in feel the old ones had so I adapted immediately. I am not much of a "features" kind of guy, I actually tried to negotiate a Mustang without power windows, locks and drivers seat but they wouldn't do it. I needed a car for racing and something that really grabbed my attention, the 2011 5.0 GT was it.. I started shopping in 2004 and the deal was, this would be the last new car I bought and after 7 years of looking at new cars, the one I actually wanted was available. I was afraid if I waited for a 2012 I would be forced to get stuff like a back up camera or back seat airbags, too soon and I would have settled for a 4.6... My car will undergo major changes in the future and the 2nd engine will start production sometime next year... fun fun fun...

I would agree with heater man. If both car's had weak 150hp 4 cylinder's and no NAV I definitely go with the Camaro.

The Ford NAV is awesome though. I keep my phone and ipod in my bag in the back seat yet I have voice and steering wheel controls over them without having to hook anything up. Its a really nice convenience.

While we're comparing Mustangs and Camaros...... One thing not mentioned is that Mustangs don't come with rims larger than 19". We have a lot of choices with the Gen5.
