CATS!
Muddy cat prints, cat hair.... all over my shit. I assumed the worst I could have were mice or rats if my car sat a while. These "cats on top of my car shit" has come to a head. I swear, when I got home from work last night I saw the dirty bastards and chased them on foot. The neighbors think I've gone mad.
My car sits in the driveway, and these are feral cats. I think they're attracted to the garbage cans. Any practical, usable ideas beside a scattergun blast? :(

I feel for you brother!!
My neighbor has an outdoor cat that they let roam freely 24/7..... he liked to use my flower beds as his personal bathroom for awhile...I guess mulch makes the perfect cover up for his business. They tried to remedy the situation with chemicals, but now that I let my wife and kids get a male cat for inside our house, he won't stop roaming around to investigate guess he wants to show my cat ---Who's Johnson is bigger--- purely a territory thing..... I have found paw prints on my pickup truck hood (truck is 12 yrs old), but thank God, not the Camaro. Of course I can't prove beyond a reasonable doubt that its their cat doing it but......... I now have a car cover for the Camaro, so hopefully it will be safe.

In some parts of the country, it's legal to shoot feral cats and they pay you a bounty. Sadly, MD-istan is not that place.

I fear a car cover would do more harm than good, possibly more harm than feral cat claws.
I bought new garbage cans tonight. if that doesn't work the next step is a dog that eats small furry things.

I have a crossbow for them type of problems. They are stealth and surely know how to hang things on a fence.

Well, since I have already been the victim of an egging which shattered the paint on the rear bumper costing me a repaint and a $100.00 deductible.....I figured a car cover was a good investment vs. vandalism and possible cat damage should the lil bastard change targets.. PLUS.......my wife loves to feed the birds in the winter........so the car is never safe....til now.......cover worth it just for this fact alone.

The egging stuff is terrible, I think I would have to look into cameras for that. If someone egged me and I knew who it was, kid or not, they would be in deep.
No new muddy cat paw prints this morning. So far, so good. New locking trash cans/Camaro 1 - Stupid cat 0.

Cat deterrant? Not sure how well they work nor do I really care but I'm sure you'd be able to Google some that work.
Link to start you off: http://www.petsmart.com/family/index...goryId=2768983 You can also pee around your driveway to "mark" your territory. |
