I got the V6 since my daughter will be driving the car. I tell you what, it has plenty of power. Is it a V8? No. But dang this car can move!! Faster than I remember my '70 chevelle being, but then again, that was almost 30 years ago. LOL Sucks getting old.
Either way, you won't be disapointed.

Thanks for all of your replies. I wasn't asking for a comparison between the eight and six, just wondering if people were satisfied with their purchase of the V6 and if there were any defects with the clutch sticking, as there seems to be with the V8. Thanks.

The v6 has more than enough power to get you into trouble. I'll be writing a check for a $250 speeding ticket today. Thought I was doing 76 in a 65 but apparently it snuck up to 86 on me when I wasn't looking. If you typically drive cars that can do 0-60 in 5 seconds or less it will feel underpowered, but otherwise it'll be a very impressive machine.

If you are driving it to the store, buy one! It has plenty of power. Plenty. If you are racing it on the weekends (or during other times), the V6 is not for you. It really depends on what you need it for. I am in love with my car.

To the OP. Do like I did, Ask yourself if you really need another 100+ more horsepower to be happy. Then buy what pleases you... As my Sig says, "I could have had a V8, but with 304Hp availiable, I asked myself.... Why?" From my choice for the 1LT, you can see what my answer to myself was...And I am very Happy...

I love my V6. I had an 94 Camaro V6, and this thing has 100+ HP more than that did (about as much as the 4th Gen V8s). So, it is plenty enough HP for me. I cant comment on Manual Transmission, because i have Auto, but Sport Mode on Automatic is FUN!

I love my V6 manual! It's my everyday car, and for me, the 6 was the perfect balance of fun and practicality. It's plenty fast, and at 7k miles, I have never experienced any issues with the clutch.

In my opinion a 300HP V-6 is a lot of power (my 2500 Hemi has 345 HP with it's V-8). I don't think you'll be unhappy with the V-6. That being said, I drove the 2SS and knew I had to have it.
