I don't see how a T-Top would be less safe than a convertible. Not that I'd want either on a Z-28.

The T-tops are a dead giveaway that this is false information. They just aren't likely with the latest safety regs.

Maybe he was being hopeful or just repeating something he over heard.

By the way, GM shut down it's conference center there so these may be GM trained people but I don't think they are GM employees, just representatives of GM. Kind of like the spokes people at the auto shows.

You are exactly correct, but the regs don't count the T-tops as a convertible they consider them the same as a coupe. So by your own words it's as safe as a convertible but must meet the coupe standard.

The guy I talked to at Dayton told me the GS was coming.

I'm inclined to believe him solely because I want one so badly.

In that sense, how come the targa top on the corvettes and the glass roof on the mustang meet the coupe standards? Safety regulations suck

The Rep told him that a Z28 would be coming out soon and it was going to be available with a T-Top.

Not sure what to think....but this is what he told me.

Let the speculation begin.
I have a bridge for sale in Brooklyn... and I'm open to all offers. (cash only!)

Yes, but unfortunately they save lives.

Between safety and CAFE, the cars of the future will be true engineering feats. Almost sad that people don't realize what it takes to engineer and manufacture a car to the U.S. and European standards. I still think no matter how good we are people take it for granted. After all we put a man on the moon for crying out loud. And I've got Al Gore's internets on my phone. And there is this littel blue pill that............................

Well said... I'm sure you recall the photo of the Caddy SUV on it's side after dropping almost 6 feet onto the roadway (on her side) at high speed. If it were the 70's she wouldn't have walked away.

Anyone know what those hood hooks do? Or those pins on the bottom of your door? Didn't even know they were there, did you

..... Tell me more about this little blue pill.
