The 0-62 times for the V8 seem high to me. I though the V8 coupe was in the mid 4's to 60. Does the convertible make that much of a difference?

Weight. Extra support beams are added to the bottom to support the car without a roof. Not as aerodynamic as well.

^ And think of what would be added if they made a retractable hard top. That (and cost) is the reason you'll never see it on a Camaro.

True i just would want a hard top if I got a convertible. They generally look better IMO would be cool to see a hard top camaro. Would still be faster than 80% of the cars on the road.

^ I had a retractable hardtop SLK230. Thing was super quiet with the top up and handled excellent. Personally that's the only way I'd buy another convertible. But doubt you'll see one.

Though I was thinking depending on the C6 looks I'm wondering if they'll do a removable HT like the C4 vettes.

I've already seen three 2014 Convertibles. In fact I have only seen 1 Coupe versus the 3 Verts.

Yep, seen a few '14 vert rentals running around Orlando in the attractions areas already. In fact the first 2014 I saw in person was a red convertable.

So agree with you. But I do wish they could tell me how to remove mine so I can smoke the tail light.
looks pretty cheezy with that panel there.
