Worlds slowest race video? I kid... 518! that is pretty much exactly twice the RWHP of the V6.

would be a bit of a disappointment to not have before and numbers at the track. I hope they do it for the sake of improvement. Horsepower is nice, but dyno queens are a thing of the past.

Doesn't that just mean the rings haven't seated yet??? A dyno break in is one of the recommended methods, so this will probably be one bad ass car---broke in right from the start.

At 2:36, that's the butterfly valve opening...and my guess would be releasing some "stuff" that coughed into the pipe while it was closed. I saw a little something come out the left side, as well.

The cars both sounded like they ran real well - I'm not all that worried about a little smoke early in their lives.

Is this the same for newer years? I have the 2010 fat needle that is useless.
My 2012 has the skinny needles, all 2012 and up do, its not ZL1 specific. To be honest I like the 2010/11 gages better, they are more retro

My 2012 does the full needle sweep so I think this is specific to the ZL1

Lingenfelter:

Can you confirm the stock psi? Also, Transmission. Seems as if the yellow car is a manual and the red "could" be an auto.

Also, an KR without heat soak? The SS's (LS3's and L99's) exhibit a ton of KR with stock timing tables.

Plus or minus....

...I have to admit, I am secretly very happy they broke the "magic 500" rwhp barrier. 499 would have been good...but 511 is better!
