New V6 CAI and Filter

Hi Guys,

Saw a couple of new products :

Black G5CR CAI for $329.95 (This Black G5CR Stage 2 Air Induction System adds approx. 20 HP to the rear wheels over Stock on a 2010 Chevy Camaro V6 per manufacturer.
This is a high flow cold air intake, which requires no custom tuning.)

http://northamericantuning.com/catal...05tothb7jgvhg4

and afe (oil free) air filter for $ 73. (This performance air filter outflowed the factory air filter by 43% increasing horsepower, torque, miles per gallon and throttle response. )

http://afepower.com/shop/details_new...er&&brandID=59

Hope you find them useful.

Thing about that CAI is that there is no heat shield. I don't know if it makes a difference or not.

I agree. It needs a heat shield or at least go further down. Would like to see them on a tune

Just saying that JannetyRacing did an extensive CAI on the V8. The K&N filter repalcement showed 0 HP gain. Without a filter, I think it may have been 1HP gain.
Just sayin...

Well that is a hot air intake. The factory air box is a better bet than that no

Yes... stock box does a good job (heat wise)... in fact I've noticed the air temps are actually a few degrees warmer when you take out the stock snorkel...
