With the 1SS, you should be able to order the convenience and connectivity package (RPO code SRJ) which gives you the steering mounted controls as well as the USB port, remote start (auto trans) and some other goodies. You might as well go with the 2SS and get everything standard, along with another 2 points on the rating scale

Ask them for an order number and a status as I posted previously...and although someone disagreed with my posting saying the dealer initiates the letters, I received copies of the two letters from Ed Peper from the dealer with the address information as "John Sample" address "Anytown" which they are able to print out....they put a request in that the thank you letter and the welcome kit be sent to me. I don't understand all the address problems. They must have to enter your name and address from your order so these things can get mailed to you. I don't see these going to an address from 10 years ago. It would have to go to the address on your buyer's order. Anyone placing an order should get an order number and a status code from your dealer. If you did not make any changes, your order should be at 1100, or 1101. If you made a change you should be at 2030 or 2050. Also, the 11,000 or so cars are going to be built in a 50/50 mix of engines. The communication to my dealer was that the mix now is more favorable and they can meet the initial order requests. Remember...every dealer is allocated a number of cars. My dealer was allocated 4 and I have an order number. Some dealers are just taking deposits to hold a spot for you. Clarify that now. Here is the list of status codes because you are going to need these as the builds start...

1100 - Order placed at dealer
1101 - Order accepted by GM
2001 - Order generated to dealer
2005 - Order replaced with GM Prospec order
2050 - Order changed
2500 - Order sent to production - preferenced (dealer might have build date)
3000 - Order accepted by production control
3100 - Order available to sequence becoming more stable
3300 - Order selected for production by assembly plant
3400 - Order broadcasted for production
3800 - Vehicle produced (the vehicle most likely will be on it's way by now)
4150 - Vehicle invoiced to dealer
4200 - Vehicle shipped
5000 - Vehicle delivered to dealer
6000 - Vehicle delivered to customer

Did you get both those letters AND a drawing of the car from the designer?
My order went in on Halloween and I didn't get anything, but the order I got faxed from the salesman has my name on it but their address. I'm thinking that's why I don't get anything.

well i ordered mine oct. 13 and i got my letter about a month and a half ago...so i would think if u dont have yours yet just be patient

Seems like once a dealer gets an allocation it doesn't take long at all to get past 3000
