Go to youtube.com type in nitrous, watch and learn. I would recommend mounting a big fire extinguisher in the trunk. Make sure you have your cell phone programmed with a tow truck company and use a remote bottle opener/closer. So if it goes BOOM! You can quickly close off the flow of N20 to the engine that is now on fire.

Good quality kits are $850.00 - $1,000.00 depending on what all you want with it. Pressure gauge ( a must have ), bottle warmer, remote opener, progressive controller, so many choices. I have used many different brands over my 30+ years of drag racing, cars, motorcycles, inboard boats and snowmobiles. I am using the NYTREX Triple Threat kit on my 2012 2LT/RS. I am a Tech by trade and it took me about an hour from start to finish. Very easily installed kit and has some great extras in the kit. My best run to date is 13.07. You will get many different people giving their views of systems. Most of todays top producers of systems will all work safely and good results. I went with NYTREX because of ease of installation, no cutting of factory harness and very good customer service. Do yourself a favor call several different companies and see who is willing to talk to you. Not just sell you their product and get off the phone. I have some videos on youtube of my runs.
I have other videos on there also of my other toys. Make some calls and go with your gut feeling. It worked for me and my system of choice. i would also suggest check your local area for bottle refills before buying a system, some areas are hard to find refill stations. Plan on a cost of $50.00 -$75.00 to fill your bottle ( 10 lb bottle ). Any questions please feel free to PM me also.
