I was driving it hard but that wasn't the cause. The pin that holds the roller and bearings in place backed out, it must have been defective from the factory as the hole the pin rides in is in tact and the pin is in one piece so it didn't break. I am thinking it wasn't pinned properly when manufactured.

That would be GM, they are LS3 lifters. Anyways, aftermarket manufacturers would warranty the lifter but not the other parts and the list is large lol. On top of that the cam and lifters were done over 40,000 miles ago. Here is a picture of the lifter, as you can see the pin didn't break and the hole is in tact.
