Well with the shift point at 6600 there no loss of power it hit hard. the rear of the car jump. If i can bring it in quicker in trap above 6000 would it help my ET times. Trying to brake the 10.87 mark.

were running the exact same combo except on a stock bottomend and stock heads. whipple cam 12psi FTI 3600 4l80 3.45 gear on a M&H. the car ran a best of 10.47@136 in GREAT weather with a 6sp manual. now we put the 4l80 in and in Louisiana heat the last 2 weeks in a row the car has run 10.40-49@132. I have not logged the car yet but i'm thinking it's crossing according to online calculators 5600-6000. we made power to 6800. we maybe putting a 3.91 in real soon. also the best 60.ft has been 1.59 so far.

Dam this past weekend in the heat could not touch the 10s. what HP are you ? My best 60' 1.51 and ran a 10.90 on that pass in 80 D temps . I know at 6600 i have not maxed on power.

it made 726 with the 6sp. i'm sure it's way lower. Nasty how big is the cam your running?

Yeah i see that. Am going to be adding about 50 more HP and try some 3.91 gears and run that for a year or so. Will also be losing some weight going for 200lb get it below 4,000 am at 4,180 now.

Probably pick up 2-3 mph and some on ET, but I'm always a fan of more converter. Hits higher and harder off the line, less rpm drop on the shifts...

SS performance in tallahassee the car has out done what he said it would do.the cam i think it was a comp cam that was a over a year ago when the engine was built .

Had talked with FTI about my goals and this is what they built for me with the 4l80.
