will this kit be able to run with meth injection? and how would it affect it?
also why didn't you guys go with a wider inter cooler there is definitely more space to put one in since you got the brace blocking half of it i think it just looks small compared to the whole front end of the car i know its thick and all but still looks small and will you be offering a kit with a bigger turbo offering around 800 whp or are you just sticking to the 700 and the 1000+ |

Hopefully we will have it on the dyno today for some baseline numbers with the kit. Very excited!!
Going through other instruction manuals on installations of kits for Vettes, G8s, Camaros, and GTOs and I have to say that this should be the easiest turbo kit to install out there. I really feel like anyone could install it and it should only take a weekend to do it. To answer the questions in the last post: We will be playing around with the turbo size options as soon as we get this first turbo figured out. It wont be long for that. The pictures are a little misleading with the size and placement of the intercooler. I really dont think it would be any issue at all. There is a decent size gap from the bumper brace to the IC and plenty of air will get to it. It is as wide as you can go if you want to sit back in the middle section without cutting anything out of the way. Methanol will always help if tuned properly on any turbo setup. I am more of a fan of race gas though. |

It's an oil and water cooled- dual ball bearing turbo.
***UPDATE*** We just loaded the Camaro into the trailer and off to the dyno. Dyno will be tomorrow morning, first thing. We'll post numbers and graph after we're done. |

Still looking for more installl pics but the kit sounds great. I have a g8 gxp 6spd and was wondering if this kit will bolt up too. I have the same LS3/tr6060 combo as the 2SS camaro.
What a/r are you using with the T04Z? On my supra I have the 1.0a/r TO4Z and it is a bit laggy. I know the LS3 should spool substantially faster. What is the chances of offering substitutes for particular items ie if I wanted to move to the HKS 60mm gt2 wastegate? look forward to your response and the dyno figures. Scott |

UPDATE!!!!! 500whp and 545wtq on baseline boost.
Its alive!! After getting it all together, we have jumped on the dyno for some tuning. Since we didn't know exactly what kind of power it was going to make, we decided to start safe and work our way up. We just tuned the car today with stock exhaust and on wastegate springs. The kit makes exactly 8.5 psi and holds it all the way to redline. On only 8.5 psi the car made great power instantly. This kit has virtually no lag! We tuned it very safe with a low 11 to 1 AFR and hardly any timing. This is just the initial baseline and we still have to do a few more pulls on Monday to get the air/fuel perfect. That perfect air fuel will straighten out the graph perfect and will pick up some more horsepower.
Remember this is a L99 auto transmission and only on its baseline boost with stock exhaust! This is a completely stock car with our turbo kit just bolted on and we havent turned up the boost at all. This should be good for 650-700whp with no problem on more boost. We will be doing some more tuning on Monday and will straighten out the graph perfectly and probably unbolt the exhaust to see how much more power it will make. Please contact me with any questions. I will upload video and have tons of pictures later on tonight. Just look at this overlay of stock vs turbo, its incredible... Last edited by JTinFL; 08-15-2009 at 05:59 PM. |

We honestly were just playing around with it for a few pulls and didnt level out the AFRs completely. We will straighten out them on Monday. There are just still some rich spots and some timing that we will straighten out. I really just wanted to update everyone on some progress.

Thanks a lot! This is honestly just the beginning. Once we turn the boost up a little bit, we should easily hit 600+. Thats really great through and automatic transmission with the stock exhaust bolted up. It is really way to quiet for me as it sits.
Remember guys, we are still running the special for the first three kits we install. We are doing them for $6799 installed. Thats retail price with FREE installation. We already have one kit sold so we have two more spots left for the free install. Dont miss out. Last edited by JTinFL; 09-23-2009 at 08:24 AM. |
