Can someone explain what the difference is between the classes? I am a stock 1le and I am in c3 with some modified cars? I just wanted to make sure I am in the right class for the finals.

If you were looking at the printouts from earlier today they still had the class names from last year which might be misleading.

This year we changed the classes around. Now it is based on your tires, HP, and suspension. Since we have so many cars that are so similar, we created a special formula that helps us split up the classes in an objective way.

If you have a stock 1LE, you should be in the C3 class. This will be where many modified SS cars are because they will have similar suspension.

I am trying to understand the classes too. Some Z28s are C3 and some C4. And some of the Z28s were highly modified. Bone stock Z28s running againt modified?

The cars are put into classes based on tires, horsepower, and suspension. We created a formula that considers all of these factors and objectively classifies each car. This does a much better job of grouping "like" cars together than we have done in the past for this event.

Using the 1LE's as an example, most are in C3, but because of different tires some might be in C2. Some may be in C4 because of other modifications which increased HP.

This is how we can have cars that appear the same to be in different classes. The tires, suspension, and horsepower are different.

I just think it's hard for me to understand because I don't know your formula to put the cars in their classification unless it's somewhere online I did not see the exact specs. It would be helpful to know how the class were made.
