Moving Forward

Thursday dyno'ed the stock L99 with 134 miles on it. 332 HP - 336 TQ.

Nothing to exciting Friday. Dropped the exhaust and removed a few parts, disconnected lines, hoses and draining fluids. Allan fixed me up with a paint & body shop around the corner from his shop. That guy is going to paint my GFX to match the car next week. He is then going to bring the GFX to Allan's shop and install there...Nice. A few pics attached.

Hey,There Is A Big Hole Where The Engine Use To Be!

I missed all the action at Futral Motorsports today when the engine was pulled. I was picking up my GFX from the dealer and delivering to the paint & body shop. I took a few pics when I got there. The trip was well worth it. A guy came by Allans shop while I was there. He saw what was going on with my Camaro and asked about the original motor. Sold! Just like that! Maybe I should of asked for more $$$.

VERY COOL GIB!
Keep us posted please. I'm dying to how many horses this bad boy puts to the ground and what it sounds like. THANKS!!
One question, are you changing out the rear end or transmission by any chance? Or are they getting overhauled?

Nothing available yet on aftermarket rear ends and tranny's. Only thing we are doing for now is the Yank 3200 TQ and a tranny fluid cooler. I hope it all holds up for a while.

I missed the engine getting droped in this morning and seeing the covers on it. It was installed without the intake system on the engine. It looks just like a stock LS3 right now.

I'll have to ask Allan about that red SS.

The tranny fluid cooler should help a little. Again, awesome build.
Will be following.

Headers & Exhaust

I guess everyone installing ARH Headers and a Magnaflow Axle-back, know that you come up about one foot short of pipe. No problem though, the guys at Futral Motorsports will fab it up.

Getting ready to head out to Futral Motorsports. Allan is going to crank up the new LS3 Stroker he installed. The car is still not finished. The new injectors are not in yet, so he can only let it idle. The water/methanol injection and the tranny fluid cooler is not installed yet and the CAI has yet to be built. When I post the video tonight or sometime tomorrow, I will start a new thread called Gib's SS/RS.
