Prob not. I managed to rip about half the tabs off, but found out JB Weld has a new JB Quick. It sets up nice and holds the tabs on with no issues. You'd never be able to tell they were JB Welded back into place.

Just patience, I have taken mine off 2 times, with no problems.

Don't force anything, and if you look in the pictures, find something similar to the tool that I used to get down behind the tabs to release them.

I have taken my diffuser off several times. It's great for painting your stock exhaust cans black, or if your installing a new exhaust, I took my diffuser off to put on my new axle-back exhaust. It gives you a lot more room to work with. Some people have even painted their diffusers.
Great write up and directions. !

Thanks for the write up.

I'm looking at changing my V6 diffuser to a SS diffuser.

Ditto! I pried, pulled, grunted, and sweat but nothing. Mine will not come off, tried both sides. 2011!

This is why I love this forum. I had to take my diffuser off to change my exhaust. This info was what I needed. The tabs were stubborn but a few shots of WD-40 and
the whole thing just popped off. Thanks aus10bmx.

Trying to remove right now. As other stated it is not budging.

Pretty cold here right now, we got a few inches of snow last night.

I will try the WD-40 trick.
