Slight idle stumble?
Does anyone get a slight idle stumble after a cold start? It only happens when I first drive it in the morning. After driving it for awhile, it seldom does it.
I've read that it could be anything from coked up intake valves, dirty MAF sensor and/or the stock programming is set too rich in certain conditions from the factory. However, I only have 3K original miles so the MAF sensor really shouldn't be that dirty. Also, I put an Elite catch can and cleanside separator on right after I bought it. Any clues? |

unless there is check engine light on, there should not be any problems, they do not idle real smooth. plus when cold its still in cold loop and all parameters are in warm up mode.

Only 3k? I wouldn't worry about the valves being coked up, especially with both cans and such low miles. Maybe check your plug wires, make sure there all nice and snug. Let it come off fast idle before you leave.

I'm wondering if there is/was a ECU programming update for this issue? I can't be the only one and I do remember reading about another member having the same idle issue on their car. With older cars that I've had in the past with issues like this, I would just clean the TB/IAC and that would usually fix it. However, with this being a new car with DBW, I don't know where to start. |
